Description
Burnt was a collaborative interactive art exhibition and dining experience by visual artist Diane Giraud and food creative Shay Ola. Following on from Diane’s exhibition “SPLENDID STORIES OF DISORDER” which featured a series of compositions on canvas made using fragments from the pages of burnt books, ashes and transparent tape. The pervasiveness of language in setting-up thinking patterns, the exploration of time as well as the recording of memories that all encompass one self are a few of the concepts that animate these pieces.
This was a participatory exhibition and dining event where attendees had the opportunity to produce a unique piece of artwork using Diane’s method and under her tutelage.
Shay created an accompanying 4 course menu and drinks pairing, drawing inspiration from Diane’s work and methodology.
